About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical test benches for aerospace components.

Your primary focus will be on creating detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using aerospace-standard design tools (e.g., CATIA and AutoCAD). You will also integrate sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for high-fidelity testing.

In addition, you will conduct structural, thermal, and vibration analysis using FEA tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN) and ensure designs meet aerospace standards. You will collaborate with aerospace systems engineers, electrical engineers, and software teams for integrated test solutions.

You will also be responsible for searching suitable AVL manufacturers and providing the manufacturing part number (MPN) for COTS items, as well as preparing SOWs and BOMs for stakeholders/subcontracting work/turnkey work.

Furthermore, you will support prototype fabrication, assembly, and commissioning of test benches, perform mechanical parts source inspection with all mechanical vendors, and support the QC team for mechanical parts inspection, reports evaluation, and collection of supplier inspection reports.

You will interface with aerospace suppliers and certification bodies and have exposure to cable harness and its different connectors and data analysis. You will also have experience with propulsion system test benches or environmental simulation chambers.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and approximately 3–7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in aerospace test systems. They will also have proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5, AutoCAD, SolidWorks), knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerances, and familiarity with aerospace instrumentation and testing standards.
