Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Design Expert to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working on custom designs for LV & MV Switchgear.

  • This role involves designing, developing, and implementing mechanical solutions for switchgear orders.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and customers to ensure seamless design integration.
  • Prepare and manage Mechanical Bills of Material based on customer requirements.
  • Design custom assemblies using standard designs and implement process improvements.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Mechanical Design Engineering expertise.
  2. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
  3. Sheet metal operations and processing expertise.
  4. Proficiency in 3D modeling software (ProE/Creo) with Part, Sheetmetal, Assembly, and Drawing modules.
  5. Ability to train and mentor junior engineers in Creo software.
  6. Familiarity with virtual design environments.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing or closely related field.
  • Designing and manufacturing experience in sheet metal.
  • Low voltage switchboard/switchgear design, installation, and use knowledge.
  • Interpretation of basic front elevation, one-line, and schematic drawings.
  • Experience in mechanical design of low/medium voltage switchgear.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B.Tech).
  • 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
