Kafka Cluster Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Kafka Cluster Specialist to manage large-scale Kafka clusters, ensuring their security, availability, and scalability.

  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Install, configure, and manage Kafka clusters in on-premises and cloud environments.
    • Perform upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery planning for Kafka clusters.
    • Monitor performance, collect metrics, and optimize configurations to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
    • Automate Kafka cluster installations, topic/ACL/connector deployments using scripting languages like Python or Ansible.
    • Collaborate with developers to provide expert guidance on Kafka usage and troubleshoot issues within the ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Core Skills:
    • Kafka Administration (Confluent & AWS MSK)
    • Big Data & Hadoop Ecosystem
    • Apache Spark
    • Linux/Unix Systems & Windows Server
    • Shell/Python scripting
    • Automation tools: Ansible, Terraform, GitOps
    • CI/CD tools: GitLab, Jenkins
    • Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace
  • Good to Have:
    • Experience with IBM MQ / RabbitMQ
    • Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, ServiceNow
