Job Title: Distributed Storage Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled architect to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role focuses on the development, deployment, and maintenance of highly available, scalable storage and container orchestration systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy highly available, scalable storage solutions using Ceph, ZFS, and NFS technologies for hybrid and cloud-native environments.
  • Identify and resolve complex issues related to storage, networking, and container orchestration systems.
  • Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting tools like Prometheus for infrastructure reliability.
  • Work closely with development and SRE teams to ensure seamless CI/CD and infrastructure reliability.
  • Participate in incident response teams and participate in on-call rotations for critical system uptime.
  • Document architectural decisions, standard operating procedures, and best practices for future reference.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • Proficient in Ceph (RADOS, RBD, CephFS) and ZFS administration for distributed storage systems.
  • Solid experience managing NFS servers and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes internals, networking, and cluster lifecycle management is a plus.
  • Experience with container runtimes (Docker, containerd), Helm, etc.
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is beneficial.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience using the Rook-Ceph operator for Kubernetes is desired.
  • Knowledge of CSI storage drivers and volume provisioning in Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or RHCSA are a plus.

This role involves working with customer engineering teams on a wide variety of cloud projects, including migration, containerization, and transformation initiatives. Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, ITAR, etc.) is beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, distributed storage systems, and container orchestration. They should be able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
