Leadership roles in the automotive industry are highly coveted, and our organization is seeking a visionary Business Head - Power Electronics to spearhead commercial, people, and organizational leadership for our innovative power electronics design house.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive strategic engineering initiatives aligned with our company's vision and emerging trends in automotive and EV technologies.
  • Oversee the development of power electronics systems for electric vehicles, focusing on high-performance, cost-effective, and scalable solutions that meet stringent quality standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (R&D, production, quality, supply chain) to ensure seamless integration and execution of projects from concept to production.

Project Management Skills

  • Manage complex, high-stakes projects within time and budget constraints, ensuring timely delivery and performance alignment with customer specifications.
  • Develop project plans, allocate resources, and provide regular progress updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks through strategic planning and problem-solving approaches.

Power Electronics Expertise

  • Design and develop power electronics systems, including DC-DC converters, inverters, and motor controllers, using advanced tools and mathematical modeling/simulation software.
  • Stay at the forefront of technological developments in power electronics, exploring new technologies and materials to improve system performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Team Leadership

  • Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field (PhD is a plus).
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in power electronics engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally in the automotive industry.
  • Strong expertise in designing and developing power electronics systems for electric vehicles, including DC-DC converters, inverters, and motor controllers.
  • Familiarity with key automotive industry standards such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61800.
