Compliance and Governance Expertise

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our compliance and governance efforts, ensuring we maintain the highest standards in integrity and responsible business conduct. This role will involve collaborating with stakeholders across the maritime industry, providing guidance on trade regulations and sanctions compliance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective compliance strategies and tools, leveraging expertise in trade compliance, anti-corruption, and ESG governance within the maritime and logistics sectors.
  • Support MACN members worldwide in navigating complex regulatory environments, including anti-corruption regulations (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act).
  • Lead training programs on anti-corruption and sanctions compliance, creating engaging online modules and workshops for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with external providers to enhance due diligence initiatives and support companies in disclosing anti-corruption efforts within ESG and sustainability reporting.

Project Management Skills:

  • Oversee stakeholder engagement, coordinating development of customized training materials, managing implementation of workshops and webinars, and operationalizing membership models.
  • Contribute to internal learning, external communications, and donor reporting, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, International Trade, Public Policy, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management, compliance, ESG, or integrity risk.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sanctions, or anti-corruption frameworks.
  • Proven success engaging with governments, international donors, NGOs, and business leaders.
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is essential.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with e-learning tools is a plus.
