Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Organic Synthesis Specialist to join our team in discovering and developing novel therapeutics diagnostics and devices for diseases with high socio-economic impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programs
  • Track SAR and optimize potency selectivity and properties of small molecules for research programs
  • Perform purification and structural characterization of compounds
  • Troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions/li>
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues
  • Maintain accurate lab records and contribute to technical reports/li>
  • Collaborate with analytical teams as needed/li>
  • Contribute to intellectual property activities/li>
  • Skillfully apply multistep organic synthesis reaction optimization and compound isolation techniques/li>
  • Proficient in chromatography spectroscopic analysis and purification techniques/li>
  • Demonstrate creativity and productivity with strong synthetic chemistry problem-solving skills/li>
  • Stay up-to-date with current literature in the field/li>
  • Effectively communicate scientific and technical information orally and in writing/li>
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment/li>
  • Commitment to laboratory safety and adherence to safety protocols/li>
  • Familiarity with reaction databases e.g. Reaxys SciFinder/li>
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications required/li>

Minimum Qualification:

  • M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry Medicinal Chemistry or closely related field
  • PhD in organic chemistry medicinal chemistry
  • Postdoc in organic chemistry medicinal chemistry Optional
  • 0-4 years of hands-on experience in working on bench preferably in an industry/li>

Technical Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Organic Chemistry or related field
  • Experience in multistep organic synthesis reaction optimization and compound isolation
  • Proficient in chromatography spectroscopic analysis and purification techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Reaxys and SciFinder proficiency
  • MS Office applications expertise
