Job Role: Senior Associate in Revenue Recognition

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our revenue recognition team, responsible for ensuring revenue recognition is accurately recorded in accordance with accounting standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed contract reviews to ensure revenue recognition aligns with relevant accounting guidelines.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to revenue and associated accounts.
  • Collaborate with the audit team during quarterly and annual external audits, providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Navigate multiple internal relationships within the organization, including operations, general ledger accounting, IT, etc.
  • Perform various ad hoc revenue analyses and reporting as required.
  • Be accountable for special projects assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in revenue accounting.
  • Public accounting and/or professional services or IT industry experience is highly valued.
  • Certified Accountant (CA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or pursuing CA/CPA certification is an asset.
Key Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the ASC 606 revenue recognition standard and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Exhibit solid oral and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Show ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Display strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Workday experience is a plus.
