Oracle SOA Consultant Job Description

This role is ideal for a seasoned IT professional with experience in Oracle E-Business Suite, particularly in the HRMS module. The successful candidate will design, develop, and support integrations using Oracle SOA Suite and EBS ISG Web Services (SOAP/REST).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Integrations: Design and develop Oracle SOA Suite integrations and EBS ISG Web Services (SOAP/REST) to meet business requirements.
  • Integration Support: Provide ongoing support for existing integrations, ensuring they continue to meet business needs.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform independent testing of integrations using SOAP/REST and structured methodologies to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Customization and Development: Develop and customize RICE components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) using PL/SQL, APIs, and Unix shell scripts to meet specific business needs.
  • Interface Development: Build and maintain interfaces integrating EBS HRMS with third-party systems, ensuring protocol compliance (SOAP, REST, FTP, SFTP).
  • Data Migration: Support data migration activities ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across different systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve integration/technical issues independently with minimal support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of technical experience in Oracle E-Business Suite with strong HRMS focus.
  • Proven expertise in Oracle SOA Suite and EBS ISG Web Services (SOAP/REST).
  • Strong hands-on skills in PL/SQL, APIs, RICE components, and Advanced SQL/PLSQL.
  • Extensive experience with integration protocols (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, FTP, SFTP).
  • Familiarity with HRMS data structures and backend navigation.
  • Expertise in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing for interfaces.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with functional teams in a freelance/remote setup.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of performance tuning for integrations.
  • Exposure to Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
  • Experience with cloud integrations (Fusion HR/Payroll, SaaS systems).
