Dam Break Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced Dam Break Analysis Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic and hydrological modeling, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide expert advice on dam safety and emergency planning. This includes conducting detailed analyses of dam break scenarios, developing emergency action plans, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct advanced hydraulic and hydrological modeling using MIKE and HEC-HMS software
  • Develop and implement emergency action plans for dams and reservoirs
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate dam safety into overall project risk management strategies
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Conduct regular site inspections and monitoring to ensure dam safety and integrity
  • Provide training and capacity building programs for dam safety officials and stakeholders
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • At least 15 years of experience in hydraulic and hydrological modeling, including dam break analysis and emergency planning
  • Strong knowledge of relevant software tools, including MIKE and HEC-HMS
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
