Job Summary:

The Marine Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of bulk carriers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections of vessels to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the crew and shore-based teams to ensure smooth vessel operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with ISM and ISPS regulations.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of vessel maintenance and operation.

  • Collaborate with the fleet personnel manager to ensure effective vessel operations and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve vessel efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
  • Master Mariner or Captain with 12 months sailing experience on bulk carriers.
  • Experience in managing a team and developing safety procedures and protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of ISM and ISPS regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
