About the Role

The Senior Engineering Manager will oversee multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment with roadmaps and charters. This individual will mentor managers and senior engineers, establishing and enforcing software engineering best practices. Key responsibilities include leading multiple engineering teams, mentoring managers and senior engineers, and establishing quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience building commercial software applications and platforms, as well as 3 years of experience managing a diverse team of engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Leading multiple engineering teams, each with a charter and a roadmap of its own
  • Mentoring managers, technology leads and senior engineers
  • Establishing and enforcing quality standards and best practices around software engineering
  • Contributing to the hiring and performance review processes
  • Attending and presiding over external and internal stakeholder meetings
  • Driving engineering sprints and delivery cycles for crucial projects

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience building commercial software applications and platforms
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing a diverse team of engineers
  • Exposure to one or more programming languages
  • Experience working with databases, both relational and nosql
  • Experience working with one or more cloud hyperscalers
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code
