Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled accounting professional to fill the role of Senior Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial close processes, leading audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month and quarter-end financial close processes, including ledger account reconciliation and finalization.
  • Lead statutory audits, including preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS/Ind-AS standards.
  • Evaluate risks associated with accounts and areas of responsibility, ensuring financial integrity and accuracy.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Research and document company positions on technical accounting issues, effectively communicate and present to stakeholders.
  • In partnership with internal control teams, ensure robust internal controls and compliance with company policy.
  • Support process improvements and internal controls, implementing simple workflows where needed.
  • Stay current on evolving accounting standards and updates under prevailing regulatory bodies.
  • Apply professional skepticism and analytical skills to review and analyze financial data for appropriateness and reasonableness.
  • Lead and coordinate with internal stakeholders to complete audits and other tasks timely.
  • Own compliance activities in accounting, secretarial, banking, and related regulatory compliances.

Tax Compliance Responsibilities

  • Prepare tax calculations, estimates, and reports, as well as accruals and advance tax computations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate tax & GST returns for the entity.
  • Support tax team in managing India tax matters and regional initiatives.
  • Support preparation of FIN-48, US Corp tax provision computation, and support statutory, tax & GST audits of the entity.
  • Liaise with tax consultants for effective filing of replies to notices and orders from tax authorities.
  • Prepare current and deferred tax provisions for US GAAP purposes.
  • Support internal tax advisory services and business operations.
  • Review checklist of statutory compliance under direct & indirect tax, and ensure timely submission of compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Accountancy, with mandatory CA/CPA qualification, and 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, book close process, direct and indirect tax compliances.
  • Experience in end-to-end legal entity level accounts finalization as per IFRS/Ind AS accounting standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, withholding tax, regular tax compliance, transfer pricing, CbyC report, GST, and other tax compliances.
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Ind-AS.
  • Analytical thinker who can identify and implement effective process improvements.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Oracle R12.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and multitasking skills, strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Technically strong with solid knowledge and experience in Direct and Indirect tax compliance, including Intercompany transactions.
