Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Management: Identify and source a diverse range of vegetables based on company requirements, coordinate purchasing activities, and ensure timely procurement and delivery.
  • Negotiation and Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and regional vegetable farms, negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure competitive rates.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Regularly visit farms to ensure compliance with product quality standards and farm practices, provide feedback to farmers regarding quality and supply issues.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in vegetable sourcing, agricultural procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in agriculture or the food industry.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, knowledge of quality control standards for fresh produce, ability to manage logistics and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Education: MBA/PHD in Agriculture Extension/Agriculture and allied/communication is desired but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of inventory management and procurement processes, familiarity with local farming practices and regional vegetable varieties, and the ability to travel to farms and production sites regularly.

Estimated Salary: ₹45 Lakhs - ₹60 Lakhs per annum depending on experience.
