Job Description

\

We are looking for a highly skilled individual to lead our agricultural sustainability projects, focusing on climate change impacts on agriculture and related sectors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and developing actionable insights to support clients and policymakers in their efforts to build climate resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on climate change impacts on agriculture, focusing on food security, water management, soil health, and biodiversity\
  • Analyze existing policies and frameworks related to climate change at the national and international levels\
  • Design, implement, and monitor agriculture and climate change projects\
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance awareness and capacity-building among stakeholders on climate change mitigation\
  • Provide technical assistance to project teams on climate-resilient agricultural practices\
  • Draft technical reports, briefs, and presentations summarizing research findings and project outcomes\
  • Monitor and interpret relevant policies and international climate agreements to provide strategic recommendations\
  • Contribute to the creation of climate action plans with a focus on sustainability in different sectors\
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery\
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new business opportunities\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform our approach and strategy\
  • Support the development of thought leadership pieces, including blog posts, articles, and whitepapers\
  • Represent the company at conferences, events, and other external forums\
  • Assist in the development of proposals, pitches, and other business development materials\
  • Perform other duties as required by the Director, Business Development and Operations\
  • Support the implementation of the company's business strategy and contribute to the growth and success of the organization\
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies\
  • Assist in the development of business cases, financial models, and other supporting materials for new business initiatives\
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of competitors\
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and suppliers\
  • Support the development of internal processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations\
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement new systems and tools to support business needs\
  • Assist in the planning and execution of corporate events, including conferences, seminars, and trade shows\
  • Support the development of employee engagement and retention strategies\
  • Assist in the implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives\
  • Support the development of community outreach and engagement programs\
  • Assist in the planning and execution of volunteer programs and community events\
  • Support the development of crisis communication plans and protocols\
  • Assist in the implementation of emergency preparedness and response plans\
  • Support the development of cybersecurity protocols and incident response plans\
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement effective financial management systems\
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and budgets\
  • Support the development of internal controls and risk management strategies\\
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors\
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement effective procurement strategies\
  • Assist in the development of supplier contracts and agreements\\

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in climate change, sustainability, and agriculture. The ideal candidate will have:

  • \
  • A postgraduate degree in Sustainability, Environment, Agriculture, or related fields from a recognized university\
  • At least 5 years of overall experience with at least 3 years in urban governance, climate change, or sustainability projects\
  • Strong knowledge of climate change adaptation/mitigation, sustainability practices, and data analysis related to agriculture and related sectors\
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders\
  • Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and synthesize information into clear, actionable insights\
  • Proven experience in project management, stakeholder coordination, and budget oversight within climate or sustainability sectors\
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and presentations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences\
  • Fluency in English language (written and spoken)\\

Estimated Salary:$100,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience
