Job Overview:

The position of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design Expert requires a highly skilled professional with in-depth knowledge of PCB design principles, including schematic capture, layout, and verification.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and validating PCB libraries according to organizational standards, performing schematic capture, executing component placement, developing power split plans, and ensuring robust design for power delivery.

Design Considerations:

The team requires an expert who can consider multiple factors when designing PCBs, including electrical, thermal, and mechanical constraints.

Collaboration and Communication:

A highly collaborative individual is needed who can work effectively with cross-functional teams to improve design robustness and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with leading PCB design tools (e.g., Allegro, Altium, Mentor Graphics).
  • Strong knowledge of constraints setting, routing, and post-layout checks.
  • Experience with signal integrity and power integrity validation methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in multi-layer PCB stack-up design and materials selection.
  • Familiarity with HDI techniques, blind/buried vias, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Good understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT considerations in PCB design.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
