We are looking for an experienced Freelance QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in the Karate Framework for both UI and API test automation. The ideal candidate should be able to design, develop, and execute automated test cases to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of applications.

The ideal candidate will design, develop and execute automated test cases using the Karate Framework for UI and API testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using the Karate Framework for UI and API testing.
  • Design reusable, modular, and scalable automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business analysts to understand requirements and create effective test coverage.
  • Execute and analyze test results, identifying and reporting defects.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and execution reports.

Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on experience with Karate Framework for both API and UI automation.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and software testing lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, or related programming languages.
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
