About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Web Application Firewall (WAF) Security Operations Manager to join our team at NTT DATA. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with WAF solutions, particularly in configuring, deploying, and maintaining WAF solutions to protect web applications from various cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and deploy WAF solutions to protect web applications from attacks such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and other OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor WAF performance and security alerts, ensuring optimal functionality and security posture.
  • Respond to security incidents involving web applications, analyze logs, and implement necessary mitigations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage WAF policies and rules to ensure robust protection against evolving threats.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to WAF configurations and performance.
  • Collaborate with application development, network security, and IT operations teams to integrate WAF solutions seamlessly into the existing infrastructure.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of WAF configurations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security, with at least 3 years focused on WAF technologies. At least 5 years of experience in Incident response.
  • Proficiency with WAF solutions such as AWS WAF, Akamai, Imperva, Citrix or similar.
  • Strong understanding of web application security concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS).
