Job Title:

Payroll Specialist

Opportunity Summary:

A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to assist in managing and administering timely, accurate, and efficient payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop self-awareness, personal strengths, and address development areas through feedback and reflection.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and bring order to unstructured problems.
  • Review work for quality, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Assist in maintaining payroll account ledgers, preparing reports, resolving discrepancies, and performing internal audits.
  • Focus on recording and analyzing financial transactions, receiving and paying invoices, and preparing analysis and account reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Resourceful and creative problem solver with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Understanding of multi-state taxation, tax payments/deposits, year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c), and federal/state regulations.
  • Knowledge of daily payroll department operations and industry-leading practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
