Reserving Actuary P&C

We are seeking a highly skilled Reserving Actuary P&C to join our team. As a key member of the actuarial practice, you will be responsible for analyzing and estimating reserves for our P&C insurance products.

  • The successful candidate will have expertise in various reserving methods and techniques, including loss development, loss ratio, and loss triangle analyses.
  • You will analyze data and perform actuarial calculations to assess risks and determine appropriate reserve levels.
  • We require strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes related to reserving.
  • Collaboration and communication skills are essential to prepare and present actuarial findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
  • You will work closely with other departments, such as underwriting and finance, to ensure reserve estimates align with business goals and financial reporting requirements.
  • Assistance with the development and enhancement of reserving tools, models, and processes is also required to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Preparation of financial reports, including reserve-related disclosures, is a critical aspect of this role.
  • Continuing professional development is essential to stay up-to-date with best practices in actuarial reserving methodologies and techniques.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members is an important aspect of this position.
