Senior Blockchain Engineer for Custom Node Development

OrbiTouch HR is seeking a highly skilled Senior Blockchain Engineer to lead the development of custom blockchain nodes using Substrate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying secure and performant blockchain systems.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in Rust programming and Substrate. Your expertise will be essential in creating custom blockchain protocols, consensus algorithms, peer-to-peer networking, and data storage layers.

You will work closely with our team of cryptographers, security experts, and engineers to maintain the highest levels of security and reliability in our blockchain systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom blockchain nodes using Substrate
  • Develop and engineer blockchain protocols, consensus algorithms, peer-to-peer networking, and data storage layers
  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code in Rust
  • Architect and design decentralized infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability
  • Build and optimize custom blockchain frameworks and ensure seamless integration with decentralized applications (dApps)
  • Implement custom consensus mechanisms, governance models, and token standards tailored to specific project requirements
  • Develop, test, and deploy smart contracts and decentralized applications in a secure manner
  • Collaborate with junior developers and blockchain engineers to provide technical leadership and mentorship
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Rust programming
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Substrate and blockchain protocol development
  • Strong knowledge of protocol engineering: design, development, and optimization of blockchain protocols
  • Proven experience creating and maintaining custom blockchain nodes
  • Deep understanding of blockchain architecture, cryptographic principles, peer-to-peer networking, and distributed ledger technology
  • Experience designing custom consensus mechanisms, such as Proof of Stake (PoS), Proof of Authority (PoA), or others
  • Experience with smart contract development, including familiarity with Solidity, WebAssembly (Wasm), or equivalent technologies
  • Strong understanding of decentralized networks, node architecture, and blockchain infrastructure
  • Familiarity with blockchain security vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and best practices for secure protocol design
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is ₹35 Lakh per annum.
