Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design and build efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (Spark), and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Big Data Processing: Develop and optimize PySpark/Spark SQL jobs for large-scale batch and streaming data transformations.
  • Data Ingestion: Ingest data from various sources including Apache Kafka, REST APIs, and RDBMS, ensuring real-time or near-real-time availability.
  • Data Modeling: Implement data modeling strategies (star schema, snowflake schema) for analytics consumption layers in Synapse or ADLS.
  • Deployment and Monitoring: Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.) and monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Data Engineering Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Apache Kafka, SQL, Python, and Spark.
  • CICD Practices: Exposure to CI/CD practices (Azure DevOps, Git workflows, build/release pipelines).
  • Modern Data Architecture: Understanding of data lake architecture and modern data warehousing principles.
Bonus Requirements

The following skills are highly desirable but not required:

  • Delta Lake, Event Hub, or Azure Stream Analytics experience.
  • Terraform or ARM templates familiarity.
  • Data Governance, Data Quality frameworks, or metadata management exposure.
  • Azure Networking and Security knowledge.
