Job Title: Senior DevOps Migration Specialist

This is a journey-level position that serves as the technical authority and strategic advisor for the migration initiative.

The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end architectural design, data integrity, scalability, and compliance of the migration process while mentoring teams, aligning enterprise standards, and ensuring minimal business disruption.

The passion for learning, implementing, and the ability to ask the right questions, apply analytical skills, problem-solving skills, technical skills, and reliably complete deliverables with high quality is of utmost importance.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and own the technical architecture and migration roadmap from Rally to Azure DevOps.
  • Drive strategic decisions on tooling, data fidelity, field mapping, and process harmonization.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders (Product, Security, Infrastructure, and Compliance) to align goals and timelines.
  • Conduct risk management and lead resolution plans for infra, data, or access-related blockers.
  • Guide lead engineer and DevOps teams on technical implementation and field transformation logic and workflow mapping.
  • Own the cutover strategy including roll-back plans, data validation frameworks, and post-migration hyper care.
  • Influence Azure DevOps best practices adoption across teams including boards, queries, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Presents status, key risks, and technical insights to the program steering committee.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Deep expertise in both Rally and Azure DevOps, especially their data models and customization capabilities.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale Agile tool migrations.
  • Strong proficiency with REST APIs, data pipelines, and transformation logic.
  • Broad technical depth across agile project management tools, DevOps workflows, and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience with security/access models including Azure AD integration, permissions, and compliance policies.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills, ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
