System Operations Role Overview:

The system operations role involves the design, implementation and configuration of Linux server environments on physical and virtual machines.

Key responsibilities include building and implementing Ubuntu Server, 18.04/20.04 and/or RHEL/SUSE Servers as per client requirements.

Strong administration skills in OS Ubuntu Server, 18.04/20.04 and/or RHEL 6/7, SLES /11/12, and virtual machines (OpenStack) are essential.

Proven exposure to installation, migration, upgrade patches and packages in Red Hat/SUSE/Ubuntu Linux servers is also required.

The ideal candidate should have a good working knowledge of user/group, sudoers, networking, iptables and network storage concepts.

Experience with infrastructure automation through scripting using Puppet/Ansible is necessary.

Responsibilities also include providing remote support, collaborating with the IT team and contributing to system documentation.

The successful candidate should possess excellent customer handling skills and ITIL foundation certification/training.
