Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented engineer to join our product design team, contributing to new product design and sustenance projects.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Generating ideas, developing concepts, and designing both new products and improvements to existing products.
  • Performing hand calculations and GD&T stack-up analysis.
  • Having a good understanding of engineering principles.
  • Providing CAD support for new product development (NPD) and sustenance projects.
  • Leading cost-saving and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Implementing DFMA practices in product design.
  • Implementing engineering change requests (ECRs) and engineering change notes (ECNs) efficiently.
  • Contributing to the development and testing of functional prototypes and evaluating test results.
  • Managing costed bill of materials (BOM) and applying PLM tools such as Teamcenter.
  • Prioritizing tasks effectively to meet customer expectations and deadlines.

You should be able to relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geography. You should be self-motivated, dedicated, team-oriented, and drive for results, able to achieve set goals. You should be interested in learning, problem-solving, and collaborating with other function groups.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A mechanical/mechatronics engineering graduate with a good academic record.
  • Minimum work experience of 3 to 6 years after graduation.
  • Good CAD knowledge, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge on casting, plastic, or forging part design considerations.
  • Knowledge on ASME 14.5.
  • Good communication skills to convey ideas and thoughts for global clients.
  • Experience in appliance product design is an added advantage.
  • You should be a quick learner.
