About the Opportunity

The Avaya Solutions and Technologies (S&T) group is seeking an experienced Engineering leader to lead and grow our Advanced eXperience (AXP) team responsible for a service platform supporting real-time communication signaling in our cloud Contact Center as a Service product.

You will be part of growing Avaya's CCaaS market leadership by providing cutting-edge, cloud Contact Center SaaS solutions. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for getting the best results from your team and delivering customer value incrementally as you lead a team of engineers of all disciplines and take ownership of features from inception through to field support.

You will partner with business, product, and technology teams to drive continuous improvement in cross-functional development processes and have accountability for standards as well as delivery and support of applications in our suite of cloud applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow a high-performing team of engineers
  • Take ownership of feature development from inception to field support
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements
  • Maintain high standards of quality and delivery
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of Microservices Architecture
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Java Web Applications, knowledge of Spring Webflux, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of multi-region environments, data residency, and global connectivity requirements
  • Large-scale data management/data modeling experience with Cosmos/MongoDB/Spanner
  • Strong understanding of Data Privacy, HIPAA, GDPR compliance, and attestations
  • Knowledge of popular authentication mechanisms, OAuth2/OpenID Connect/JWT
  • Experience with build automation tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or Gitlab; experience with source control tools like Bitbucket, GitHub
  • Experience analyzing logs, debugging, and troubleshooting
  • Go Lang/Java experience; Angular/React experience; Redis or other caching technologies experience
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
