Electrical Design Leadership Position

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Manager to oversee our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical/power system and UPS industries, with a strong background in design and project management.

The successful candidate will possess technical expertise in designing DC SMPS based Power Systems for telecom and industrial requirements, electro-mechanical designing of Electrical Panels/UPS Panels, and AutoCAD skills for SLD & Wiring Diagrams.

In addition to technical expertise, the Electrical Design Manager will also be responsible for providing project support, including planning, execution, and quality assurance.

The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external customers.

The selected candidate will have knowledge of safety standards for panel designing like IEC 60204-1 & IEC 61439-1-2 and suggest ways to optimize BOM costs.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Plan projects from conceptual design to completion
  2. Design product solutions based on customer requirements
  3. Provide technical and engineering support to internal and external customers
  4. Analyze technical requirements of project goals
  5. Prepare design documents (BOM, GA Drawings, Electrical drawings)
  6. Review Engineering Drawings & Design Calculations in line with Tech Specifications & relevant Engineering standards
  7. Suggest various ways to optimize BOM cost
  8. Provide Quality Engineering Documentation and implement practices to ensure accuracy of engineering documentation
  9. Plan and execute projects for process improvements and new products as per Quality Management System requirements
  10. Provide proactive and contemporary Engineering support to production and Quality teams
  11. Customer interface to understand their requirement
  12. NPI (New Product Introduction) & Prototyping
  13. Validate and characterize prototypes
  14. Make project schedule and MIS reporting to achieve desired dates
  15. Streamline and manage day-to-day Execution processes thereby ensuring adherence to Quality

The Electrical Design Manager will maintain files and records in conformity with Technical norms, while facilitating easy retrieval of records in case of audits.
