Job Role

We are seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in identifying applications for AI and machine learning.

  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product lines, business models, and data collection processes.
  • Conduct research on various types of data, including numeric, text, audio, video, and image.
  • Deliver high-quality machine learning models that can be operationalized via our products.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of your work and results, enabling seamless replication by colleagues.

To excel in this position:

  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (natural sciences, math, statistics, computer science) is essential.
  • 4 - 7 years of experience as a data scientist in industry is required.
  • Familiarity with the Linux operating system and command-line work is crucial.
  • Conceptual and technical understanding of machine learning, including model training and evaluation, is vital.
  • Experience with formal Python coding and proficiency in machine learning packages are essential.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL query-writing is necessary.
  • Knowledge of linear algebra and statistics is important.
  • Data exploration and interpretation skills are highly valued.

Bonus qualifications include:

  • A master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI.
  • Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake platforms.
  • Ability to write production-quality Python code with testing coverage.
  • Experience working on a cloud platform (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), especially machine learning R&D on a cloud platform.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including Git processes, code reviews, test-driven development, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with A/B testing.
  • Data visualization and dashboarding skills are a plus.
  • Understanding of REST API interactions.
