Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Debt Collection Strategist to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing effective debt collection strategies, ensuring timely recoveries while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing customer behavior, repayment trends, and collection metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. They will also leverage data analytics tools to develop insights and refine strategies for better results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement collection strategies for different DPD buckets.
  • Design workflows and processes to optimize recovery rates while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze customer behavior, repayment trends, and collection metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use data analytics tools to develop insights and refine strategies for better results.
  • Leverage digital channels like SMS, WhatsApp, IVR, and conversational bots for targeted customer engagement.
  • Work with tech teams to incorporate automation and AI-based tools into the collection process.
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks in the debt collection process.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including outsourced agencies and vendors, to implement collection plans.
  • Track and report on the performance of implemented strategies, including recovery rates and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic planning or operational roles within the financial services or debt collection industry.
  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, data analytics tools, and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
