Job Title: Data Analytics Specialist

This is a remote contract position that requires expertise in data analytics platforms, particularly SAP HANA and Snowflake. As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will play a critical part in the migration of enterprise data solutions from HANA to Snowflake, ensuring business continuity, data integrity, and performance optimization.


The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, working closely with data architects, developers, and business stakeholders. You will work with business stakeholders to understand and collate the analytics and reporting requirements, analyze and conduct feasibility studies, and convert functional requirements to technical solutions.


This role involves creating detailed business requirement documents (BRD) and functional design documents, collaborating with data modelers and data engineers to develop technical solutions, and performing functional unit testing. You will also support business teams for completion of user acceptance testing, facilitate communication between business and IT, and support deployment of technical solutions to production.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to identify continuous improvement opportunities, ensure data quality, consistency, and performance in the new Snowflake environment, and work with cross-functional teams including data engineers, BI developers, and business analysts.


To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of data modeling concepts, ability to identify relationships between data sets, exposure to SQL queries, and experience with cloud platforms. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are essential for this role.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering roles.
  • Understand Supply Chain business processes.
  • Experienced in working on Analytics related projects and implementation.
  • Good exposure to SAP ERP systems like ECC or S/4HANA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
