Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with businesses in their cloud journey as a specialist. Our team is responsible for providing excellent cloud migration services to customers.

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team and help businesses move their operations to cloud-based platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing customer cloud environments, implementing cloud migration methodologies, and managing complex multi-CPU virtual machines clusters.

The Cloud Migration Specialist role involves working closely with project stakeholders to understand business requirements, identifying the right tool set to be used for the migration, and mitigating risks associated with the migration. The successful candidate will also ensure the successful completion of the migration within project timelines, communicate progress and status to project stakeholders, and manage and coordinate testing and validation of migrated data/systems.

  • Design customer cloud environments with a focus on AWS/Azure
  • Provide solutions in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques
  • Develop and manage migration plans and timelines
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to understand business requirements
  • Identify the right tool set to be used for the migration and mitigate risks associated with the migration
  • Ensure successful completion of the migration within project timelines
  • Communicate progress and status of the migration to project stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate testing and validation of migrated data/systems
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have more than 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, and cloud migration. You will also need to have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in cloud migration (AWS/Azure) and experience in working on native migration tools or any other third-party tools such as Stratozone, Migration Center, Carbonite, Platespin.

You will need to have a strong understanding across Azure and AWS infrastructure components, including server, storage, network, database, and applications. You will also need to have delivered end-to-end cloud infrastructure engagements that include assessment, design, and migrations.

A good understanding of public cloud blue-green implementation with various use cases is also required. Experience in developing and managing complex multi-CPU virtual machines clusters and pods is also necessary.

You will need to have experience with SSO such as Azure AD, ADFS, Okta or others, and experience in configuring new VMs to handle email, intranet, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and core business applications running on the cloud.

A strong understanding of systems, integrations, and security tools and how they should interact within a cloud ecosystem is essential. Proficiency in PowerShell, ARM templates, and other scripting languages used for automation and deployment on the cloud is also required.
