Key Responsibilities:
  • SRE Strategy Definition: Develop and implement a comprehensive SRE strategy across the organization.
  • Culture Promotion: Foster an 'Automate-first' culture in operating services, reducing toil and improving efficiency.
  • Methodology Development: Create strategies for identifying toil-heavy processes and automating elimination of toil, delay, and redundancy.
  • Service Metrics Development: Assist in developing engineering and operational service metrics with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency and enhance service quality/SLA.
  • SLO Development: Work with all parties to develop and implement SLOs for critical services.
  • Monitoring Strategy: Define monitoring strategy with Engineering and implement appropriate capabilities.
  • Reliability Improvements: Design and implement reliability improvements.
  • Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning.
  • Chaos Engineering: Perform chaos engineering exercises.
  • Architectural Reviews: Lead architectural reviews for reliability.
  • Incident Analysis: Drive continuous improvement from incidents.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on SRE Practitioner with 5+ years working experience in SRE role.
  • Practical experience defining and implementing Service Level Objectives, and operating to Error Budgets.
  • Experience implementing and operating monitoring and observability technologies for enterprise-grade Production systems.
  • Experience in corporate software development lifecycle methodology. Some experience with gitops a plus.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of technical systems and their interactions.
  • Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of critical Production Support processes.
  • 2+ years of experience with one/more public/private cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure etc.).
