We are seeking an experienced Server Administrator to join our team at Crest IT Consulting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows and Linux server environments and a focus on cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Develop, implement, and manage security policies and controls to protect server infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Respond to and resolve security incidents, including investigating breaches, analyzing logs, and applying remediation measures.
- Ensure timely application of security patches and updates to both operating systems and server applications to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Utilize security and performance monitoring tools to track system health, detect anomalies, and respond to potential security threats.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls on Windows and Linux servers to enforce security policies and ensure proper access.
- Implement and manage backup solutions, conduct regular backup tests, and develop disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Create and maintain scripts for automating routine administrative and security tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages.
- Ensure server and security practices comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, security policies, incident responses, and procedures.
- Work closely with other IT teams, application developers, and support staff to integrate and secure IT systems.
- Provide security awareness training to staff and develop best practices for secure server operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in server administration, with significant expertise in both Windows and Linux environments, and a strong focus on security.
- Proficiency with Windows Server (2016, 2019, or later) and Linux distributions (e.g, Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.
- Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks, such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g, VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g, AWS, Azure).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, services, and infrastructure.
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g, PowerShell, Bash).
- Work From Office (Vashi).
- Should be willing to travel to the client's place on a need basis.
- 6 Days a Week Working.
- Should be willing to work overtime on a need basis.
