Senior Tax Research Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Tax Research Specialist.

Job Role:

This is a senior-level role that combines academic rigor with practical relevance, requiring someone who can analyze, interpret, and present complex tax legislation and concepts in a clear, authoritative, and engaging manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, Interpret, and Validate Tax Laws, Regulations, Treaties, and Official Guidance for Publication and Reference Purposes.
  • Ensure Content is Accurate, Timely, and Aligned with International Standards and Best Practices.
  • Draft Technical Articles, Case Studies, and Analytical Notes on Domestic and International Tax Topics for Knowledge Sharing and Learning.
  • Develop Explanatory Notes, Annotations, and Summaries to Make Complex Tax Provisions Accessible and Easy to Understand.
  • Assist in Designing and Delivering Training Modules (Introductory to Intermediate) for Team Members and External Stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the Development of Knowledge Resources such as FAQs, Guides, and Toolkits for Efficient Information Retrieval.
  • Deliver Internal or User-Facing Tax Training Sessions as Required to Support Professional Growth and Development.
  • Monitor Regional Tax Developments, with Emphasis on GCC and International Tax Policy to Stay Up-to-Date with the Latest Trends and Updates.
  • Support the Product and Tech Teams in Curating Content for AI-Enabled Research Tools to Enhance User Experience.
  • Participate in Peer Review Processes to Uphold Editorial Excellence and Ensure High-Quality Output.
Requirements:
  • Professional Qualification in Tax, Accounting, or Law (e.g., Chartered Accountant, LLB/LLM in Tax, CPA, ACCA, or Equivalent).
  • 5–7 Years' Experience in Taxation, with Strong Exposure to International Tax Concepts and Principles.
  • Exceptional Research, Drafting, and Analytical Skills, with the Ability to Simplify Complexity and Present Ideas Clearly.
  • Excellent English Written and Verbal Communication Skills, with the Ability to Engage Audiences and Communicate Effectively.
  • Strong Understanding of International Tax Frameworks (OECD, BEPS, Treaties, Pillar 1 & 2) and Core Tax Concepts to Provide Expertise and Insights.
  • Prior Experience in Academic/Research Roles, Publishing, or Knowledge Management is Highly Desirable but Not Mandatory.
  • Ability to Work Independently in a Remote and Flexible Environment with Minimal Supervision.
