Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned data engineer with deep expertise in AWS Cloud Development to play a critical role in the development of new data products and modernization of existing platforms.

  • Data Engineering & Architecture

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and architectures in both on-premises environments, such as Oracle, and cloud environments, especially AWS. This individual will serve as a Cloud Development expert, mentoring and guiding other data engineers as they enhance their cloud skillsets.

Data Engineering Responsibilities:

  1. Design and build scalable data pipelines and data products.
  2. Develop and optimize ELT/ETL processes using various tools and technologies.
  3. Support and evolve data models that drive operational and analytical workloads.
  4. Modernize legacy systems and migrate workloads to cloud-native platforms.

Cloud Development Responsibilities:

  1. Build, deploy, and manage cloud-native data solutions using AWS services, including S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Athena, and Step Functions.
  2. Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  3. Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
  4. Ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance of AWS-based data platforms.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  1. Partner with product managers, analysts, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  2. Contribute to the data platform modernization roadmap and support new product delivery.

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or equivalent technical role.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud Development & DevOps experience.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Deep experience with Oracle, including PL/SQL and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including networking, security, and cost optimization.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
