Job Title: Cloud Architect

Experience Level: Senior / Architect Level

Domain: Retail IT Services

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Lead the migration of on-premise or legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • Develop multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures to ensure high availability, scalability, and business continuity.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure robust cloud governance and security compliance.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud costs, performance, and resource utilization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to development and operations teams on cloud best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cloud technologies and evaluate their applicability to business needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP – at least 2 of these at an expert level.
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Experience with cloud migration strategies, workload assessments, and re-architecting solutions.
  • Strong grasp of cloud security principles, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cloud certifications are preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in retail or e-commerce cloud deployments.
  • Exposure to DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and monitoring solutions.
  • Understanding of data architectures, including data lakes and analytics on the cloud.
