The incumbent will oversee the litigation and dispute resolution processes within a company. Their key responsibilities include managing litigation, representing or assisting in court matters, drafting legal documents, coordinating with senior counsel, preparing MIS reports, developing litigation strategies, ensuring effective disposal of legal issues, and providing advice on legal positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage litigation related to land acquisition, arbitration, and constitutional issues.
  • Represent or assist in matters before courts, including writ courts, district courts, and claim tribunals.
  • Draft and finalise legal documents, including SLPs, writ petitions, and civil suits.
  • Coordinate with senior and external legal counsels on matters and follow up on daily updates.
  • Prepare and monitor legal MIS reports to track and control litigation cases.
  • Develop strategies to manage litigation effectively and provide advice on legal positions.
  • Ensure pragmatic and cost-effective disposal of legal issues.
  • Manage critical and high-stake litigation cases.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Provide legal advice to management on company rights, risks, and liabilities.
  • Conduct thorough risk analysis before entering into commercial and financial agreements.
