Job Title

Performance Testing Specialist:

The role of a Performance Testing Specialist is pivotal in the engineering team, contributing to the development of a comprehensive performance testing strategy.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Stay updated with technical expertise in performance/load testing principles.
  • Design and develop solutions for supporting Cloud (Azure DevOps) and CI/CD for Sev utilization.
  • Communicate effectively across teams and external vendors when required.
  • Monitor server metrics using APM tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement measures to increase automation effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Implement solutions for industry-standard requirements.
  • Conduct analysis of business requirements, solution designs, and process documentation to identify feasible business-critical transactions.
  • Implement best performance test practices and standards as part of enterprise solutions.

Operational Management:

  • Conduct endurance, stress, load, volume testing to validate software application and infrastructure stability and performance.
  • Provide performance testing software system support for respective business units.
  • Coordinate and execute test case creation, script development, and performance test execution.
  • Design, develop, and execute scripts that validate test cases defined within project test plans.
  • Perform load testing across multiple messaging protocols, focusing on overall application performance and validating application response and outputs accurately reflecting business requirements.

Leadership and Governance:

  • Track and communicate task progress, status, and key performance metrics.
  • Use standard defect tracking tool to report defects found in testing promptly and accurately.

Requirements and Attributes:

  • Minimum 7 years of performance testing experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with OpenText LoadRunner, using Citrix, RDP, Java, and mobile technologies and databases.
  • Significant experience working with JMeter and APM tools, including New Relic and Grafana.
  • Proven experience with SOAP Web Services and RESTful Web Services testing using SOAP UI, Postman, and Swagger.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in performance testing principles, techniques, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in software development lifecycle and software quality assurance processes and practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Experience working on continuous improvement projects is beneficial.
  • Experience working in distributed delivery models with teams spread across different regions is highly advantageous.
