As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for leading valuation projects and providing expert analysis on complex financial matters. Your primary focus will be on the valuation of businesses, business interests, and intangible assets, as well as real estate and securities.

  • Analyze historical financial and operating results of target companies to explain business trends and identify potential risks.
  • Develop and challenge assumptions related to future financial projections, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in the development of discount rates and perform financial statement analysis, including common size analysis, ratio analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis.
  • Conduct market/industry research and develop industry growth estimates, providing valuable insights to our clients.
  • Construct and review valuation and other financial models, ensuring they are accurate and reliable.
  • Present analyses and conclusions to internal management and external client stakeholders, clearly communicating complex financial information.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required; advanced degree and/or certifications like MBA, CA, or CFA are preferable.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience performing work related to fair value of debt, equity, purchase price allocation, and/or goodwill impairments in a public accounting, consulting, or investment banking environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and experience in traditional valuation methods like discounted cash flow method, guideline public company method, and guidance transaction method.
  • Experience in valuing contingent consideration and valuation for mergers & acquisitions, and other transactions.
  • Comprehensive experience with financial databases like Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and other high-level tools.
  • Track record of managing multiple high-stakes projects and delivering under tight deadlines.
  • Functional understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations.
  • Demonstrated technical skills working with financial models in Excel.
