Lab Integration Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Lab Integration Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless integration of lab equipment with the LIMS platform. Your expertise in instrument interfaces, system deployment, and performance optimization will enable our organization to streamline its laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement instrument interfaces to ensure efficient data exchange between lab equipment and the LIMS platform.
  • Manage LIMS-related projects, collaborating with vendors to ensure timely delivery and compliance with defined SLAs.
  • Integrate lab equipment with the LIMS platform, resolving any defects or issues that may arise during the process.
  • Participate in the deployment of a functional LIMS system, incorporating required customizations and ensuring system stability.
  • Collaborate with business and functional departments to gather requirements for instrument interface development.
  • Execute unit testing of interfaces, identifying and resolving defects as needed.
  • Deploy systems according to system manual instructions, ensuring accurate setup and configuration.
  • Integrate middleware software with the LIMS platform, optimizing system performance.
  • Closely work with LIMS teams to optimize system performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in CS/IT, MCA.
  • Prior Experience/Background: LIMS, ASTM/HL7/XML protocol over TCP/IP & RS232, Healthcare Domain Expertise, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS.
  • In-depth knowledge of laboratory business and operational workflow from sample collection to reporting.
  • Knowledge of Instrument Interface with LIMS.
  • Desirable knowledge of STARLIMS, an Abbott informatics product.
  • Knowledge of implementation of business layer for clinical device integration and proper development by LIMS vendor.
  • Preferred 2-3 years of software development experience (.Net & Java).
  • Added advantage: Knowledge of pre-analytical lab automation devices like Automate, Cobas p612 robots etc.
  • Added advantage: Knowledge of Middleware solution i.e. AMS, Infinity, ADM, Remisol etc.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal business users and LIMS vendors.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team, WFO, 6 days working Previous experience in healthcare and LIMS required Programming experience required Immediate Joiner preferred.
