Lead Financial Strategist

The role of Lead Financial Strategist involves overseeing the entire finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory regulations, effective cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Planning & Strategy
    • Develop and implement the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process to optimize cost, improve margins, and enhance profitability.
    • Analyze financial performance against business goals and provide insights for decision-making.
  2. Accounts & Reporting
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
    • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and oversee accounting team performance.
    • Maintain compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and applicable financial reporting standards.
  3. Compliance & Audit
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC filings, and other applicable laws.
    • Liaise with statutory, internal, and tax auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
  4. Treasury & Working Capital Management
    • Manage cash flows, banking operations, and fund utilization efficiently.
    • Oversee working capital management, credit control, and debtor management.
  5. Cost Control & MIS
    • Implement effective cost accounting systems and monitor production-related costs.
    • Develop and present periodic MIS reports to senior management for financial performance tracking.
  6. Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and mentor the accounts & finance team, ensuring skill development and high performance.
    • Establish strong internal controls and processes across the department.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant qualification is essential.
  • A minimum of 8-15 years of post CA qualification experience in Accounts & Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in manufacturing (preferably metals/steel sector).
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, cost control, and treasury management.
  • A proven track record in handling audits, liaising with banks, and managing working capital.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
