Job Title: Building Information Modelling (BIM) Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled BIM technician to join our engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed BIM models and structural drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality structural drawings and 3D BIM models based on engineering markups and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure model consistency and accuracy.
  • Produce accurate shop drawings, detailed sections, and reinforcement detailing as required by clients or project specifications.
  • Update and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, adhering to company and project BIM standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international building codes and regulations.
  • Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software.
  • Conduct quality control checks on drafted output and manage revisions efficiently.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and provide input on constructability and detailing issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum [3-5] years of experience as a structural draftsman, with at least [2] years using BIM/Revit.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Navisworks.
  • Thorough knowledge of structural systems (RC, steel, post-tensioning, etc.) and detailing standards.
  • Experience working on large-scale buildings, infrastructure, or villa projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Revit or BIM is desirable.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other BIM standards.
  • Previous experience working in consultant or contractor environments in the UAE or GCC region.
