Senior Snowflake Developer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the implementation of secure platform setup, cloud integration, and high-performance data pipeline development using Snowflake.

This role involves working at the intersection of data engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps on enterprise-grade analytics and AI projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in leading full lifecycle implementations.

  • Lead Snowflake platform setup, environment provisioning, RBAC, and resource optimization
  • Architect scalable, secure infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Pulumi (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Build robust CI/CD pipelines and integrate with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Airflow, or custom Python solutions
  • Ingest and transform data from APIs, SaaS apps, and event streams
  • Ensure data security, lineage tracking, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2)

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years in data engineering or platform operations
  • 3+ years of deep Snowflake hands-on experience (performance, security, cost)
  • Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, Terraform/YAML, and Git workflows
  • Proven CI/CD and DevOps knowledge
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Requirements

The following requirements are essential for success in this role:

  • SnowPro Advanced certification is a plus but not required
  • Experience with dbt, Fivetran, Informatica, or Matillion is beneficial
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Databricks is a plus
