Job Title: Effluent Treatment Plant Operator

We are seeking an experienced Effluent Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. As an ETP Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient treatment of industrial effluents and maintaining compliance with environmental regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about environmental protection and have experience in operating and maintaining complex equipment.

About the Role:
  1. Operate and Maintain Equipment: You will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the ETP units, including screens, grit removal devices, pumps, aerators, and valves.
  2. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: In the absence of the ETP In-Charge, you will need to identify and troubleshoot issues with the equipment and take corrective action to prevent downtime.
  3. Maintenance and Service: You will perform basic preventive maintenance tasks, including chemical mixing, dosing, sampling, and sludge evacuation.
  4. Collaboration with Team Members: You will work closely with electrical and mechanical maintenance technicians to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  5. Knowledge and Experience: You should have hands-on experience in operating and maintaining ETPs, including knowledge of relevant safety protocols and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining ETPs
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
