Job Title: Data Platform Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Platform Engineering Lead to architect and scale the core data foundation behind our enterprise SaaS and AI-driven products.

This role requires owning everything from dbt pipelines and PostgreSQL modeling to data quality, data testing, and deployment while collaborating cross-functionally to make data a strategic advantage.

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust semantic layers and modular dbt pipelines.
  • Owning schema design, documentation, and data contracts across the analytics and application layer.
  • Define and enforce data platform best practices, versioning, and governance for all data models.
  • Implement data testing, observability, and quality automation to ensure confidence at scale.
  • Guide tool selection and platform evolution across the modern data stack.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to ship reliable data-backed features.

Requirements:

  • More than 10 years of experience in backend or data engineering roles.
  • Deep experience designing and maintaining normalized and dimensional data models.
  • Advanced expertise in dbt (macros, packages, tests, modularization, docs).
  • Expertise in SQL, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
  • Strong Python scripting for transformation logic and automation.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience with tools in the modern data stack, including dbt Cloud or Core, PostgreSQL, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Great Expectations or dbt tests, Fivetran, Airbyte, or custom loaders, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, Terraform or IaC.
  • Familiarity with ERP/financial schema structures, chart of accounts, ledgers, invoicing.

Leadership & Communication

The ideal candidate will have more than 6 years of experience in engineering leadership, architecture, or tech lead roles, excellent collaboration skills across engineering, product, and analytics, strong communication, and ability to author technical documentation and explain system tradeoffs.
