Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures across enterprise environments. This role is critical to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data by defending against network-based threats and vulnerabilities.

This includes designing and deploying secure network architectures for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and network access control systems, monitoring network traffic and security events using IDS/IPS and SIEM platforms, conducting regular network vulnerability assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies.

Collaboration with SOC and IT teams to investigate and remediate network-related incidents is also essential.

In addition, developing and enforcing network security policies, standards, and procedures, performing risk assessments and threat modeling for network infrastructure, ensuring secure configuration and patching of routers, switches, and other network devices, leading network segmentation and zero-trust initiatives, and staying informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies are key responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5–7 years of experience in network security engineering or architecture.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, SNMP).
  • Experience with IDS/IPS tools (e.g., Snort, Suricata, Cisco Firepower).
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm).
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN) and secure remote access.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and security controls (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump).
  • Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and security tasks.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and secure SD-WAN implementations.
