Linux Support Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Support Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing L2-level support for Linux in a mission-critical banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2-level support for Linux in a mission-critical banking environment.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements.
  • Operate under ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem/Knowledge).
  • Maintain high availability, performance, and security; participate in DR/BCP drills.
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents and manage approved platform changes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes.
  • Tune configurations and schedule jobs to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate vendor TAC cases, firmware/patch planning, and validate post-change health.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation, runbook hygiene, and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Ownership mindset with readiness for 24x7 support and on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in Linux support.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux distributions including RHEL, CentOS, Debian GNU, FreeBSD, and Ubuntu.
  • Experience with non-x86 Linux systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
