Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President, Practice Lead - Embedded Systems (AVP). The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices, AI implementation in the Engineering process, and will play a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence in our projects.

The AVP will provide expert guidance on embedded system design, development, and implementation. They will lead technical discussions and decision-making processes to ensure optimal solutions.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for defining project requirements, timelines, and deliverables. Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget is a key responsibility.

Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in embedded systems is crucial. The AVP will drive innovation by proposing new technologies and methodologies to enhance product offerings.

Quality standards for embedded system development must be developed and enforced. Thorough testing and validation are necessary to ensure reliability and performance.

Mentor junior engineers and provide training sessions to enhance team capabilities. Sharing knowledge through workshops and seminars is beneficial.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in embedded system development, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, familiarity with Linux and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Experience in embedded systems development with good understanding of embedded software development, including C/C++, RTOS, and microcontroller architectures and communication protocols like CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART.
  • Knowledge of FPGA, System design, verification and validation, and test automation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies with proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from concept to production.
