">- Automating the creation and testing of Linux Server templates for virtual machines and physical hardware using Jenkins and Tekton CI/CD pipelines
- Automating the installation, upgrade, and configuration of Linux Operating Systems, including Suse, Redhat, and Ubuntu, on on-prem and cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, Bourne Shell, and Power Shell
- Automating manual processes associated with infrastructure deployment via Git Ops and infrastructure-as-code
- Managing security requirements, performance optimizations, and technical direction for the Linux Server Operating Systems
- Providing L3 Engineering support to Operations teams for all aspects of the Linux Server Operating Systems
About The Role:
">Linux Automation Engineer Consultant">This role is responsible for automating, building, and operating IT hardware and software resources in on-prem, cloud, or hybrid scenarios in support of internal customer needs.
">The ideal candidate would have a firm understanding of two or more mainstream Linux distributions and experience in Linux OS engineering and automation. They should also have knowledge of at least two different Linux distributions and working knowledge of Kubernetes, with Openshift experience preferred.
">We are looking for someone with strong skills in automation, scripting, and problem-solving who can design, build, and deploy scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
">This position requires a minimum of 5 years of progressively growing responsibilities experience in Linux OS engineering and automation.
">Required Skills And Qualifications:
">- Working knowledge of at least one Pipeline tool, such as Tekton, Jenkins, Circle CI, etc.
- Understanding of code testing and test-driven development
- Working knowledge of virtualization (such as vmware, openshift, etc) and server hardware manageability technologies
- Knowledge of at least 2 different Linux distributions
- Understanding of server hardware manageability technologies (such as HPE, Dell, Super Micro, etc)
Job Requirements:
