We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Support Specialist to fill a vacant position.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide basic first-level technical assistance by responding to queries related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and user accounts under supervision.
- Assist in setting up and configuring new workstations, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices for employees.
- Support routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, system patches, and antivirus scans.
- Help manage and track IT assets and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Participate in user account creation, modification, and password management, primarily in GWS and JAMF MDM environments.
- Monitor helpdesk tickets and escalate issues to senior engineers as needed, ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist in network troubleshooting activities including connectivity problems, VPN setup, and printer configuration.
- Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and common solutions for knowledge base improvement.
- Support the IT team in small projects, such as software deployments, hardware upgrades, and security audits.
- Follow company policies and best practices for IT security, data privacy, and compliance.
- Participate actively in training and development sessions to build technical skills and product knowledge.
- Recent graduate or final year student of Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components and operating systems (MacOS/Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with IT asset inventory, mac OS, basic networking, and user account management.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
- Basic understanding of security concepts such as firewalls, antivirus solutions, and patch management is a plus.
- Interest in learning scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash is desirable but not mandatory.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong willingness to learn, problem-solving aptitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and work under supervision.
